    In-Office Treatments

    Miboflo and Gland Expression

This is the most effective way of removing the abnormally clogged meibum oil from your eyelid’s meibomian glands. This is a natural, drug free, no maintenance way to treat the underlying cause of 86% of dry eye.

    Meibomian Gland Puncture

This is performed priorto Miboflo for patientswhose oil glands areblocked by scar tissue thathas formed as a result of chronic environmentalstress such as contact lenswear and makeup.

Swap Stix Tea Tree Oil Lid Cleansing

This treatment cleansthe eyelids of dirt, debris, bacteria, and thedemodex mite, which are common causes of chronic eyelid inflammation andocular irritation.

    Amniotic Tissue Treatment

This is a treatment during which a membrane (similar to a contact lens) composed of amniotic tissue is placed on the cornea to repair the damaged surface of the eye.

    Punctal

    Plugs

Placed into the drains inyour eyelids to keep your tears on your eyes longer. With a specific prescribed therapy regimen the ducts of the meibomian glands will secrete thinner and clearer lipids which will allow for a healthier tear film.

    Different Types of Dry Eye

Evaporative Dry Eye occurs when the top oil “yellow” layer is deficient and allows the water tear to quickly evaporate.

Aqueous Deficient Dry Eye is when the middle tear layer, the watery or ‘blue’ layer is deficient.
